*League of Legends* has introduced an exciting new minigame within its client, available until the end of April. If you're familiar with *Balatro*, you'll find the gameplay of Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends* quite intuitive.

League of Legends Demon’s Hand Set-Up and Getting Started

To dive into Demon’s Hand, ensure your *League* client is updated to the latest version. Once updated, click the Play button, navigate to the game type menu, and select Demon’s Hand. This will kick off an engaging introduction to the story behind this mode, followed by your first round of the card game.

Your hand is displayed along the bottom row of cards on your screen. In the bottom right corner, you'll find your health, coins, and percentage crit chance. Above this, there's a Sigil box where you can have up to six Sigils active at once, though you'll start with none. Remember, health isn't restored after each battle; instead, you'll need to visit tent locations on the map to recover a percentage of your health.

The enemy is represented by the card at the top of your screen, with its health and damage shown in the bottom right and left corners, respectively. To the left of the enemy card, you'll see an attack coin indicating how many hands you can play before the enemy attacks. On the left edge of the screen, a book lists all possible hands you can play as attacks along with their base damage in a standard round.

How To Play Demon’s Hand in League of Legends

In Demon’s Hand, you deal damage by playing poker hands, each with a unique name within the game but based on standard poker terminology. The ultimate hand to aim for is The Demon’s Hand, which equates to a royal flush. Here's a breakdown of the hands you can play and their corresponding poker terminology:

  • Solo = High Card (10 Base Damage)
  • Dyad = Pair (20 Base Damage)
  • Dyad Set = Two Pair (40 Base Damage)
  • Triad = Three of a Kind (80 Base Damage)
  • Tetrad = Four of a Kind (100 Base Damage)
  • March = Straight (125 Base Damage)
  • Horde = Flush (175 Base Damage)
  • Grand Warhost = Full House (400 Base Damage)
  • Marching Horde = Straight Flush (600 Base Damage)
  • The Demon’s Hand = Royal Flush (2000 Base Damage)

In addition to the base damage, the numerical value of each card adds to the total damage dealt. If an enemy has a special ability that negates a specific suit, those cards will be crossed out and won't contribute their numerical value to the damage.

Spice Up Your Attacks with Sigils

Sigils add another layer of strategy to your gameplay. You can purchase them during store phases, marked by coins on the map, which you earn by defeating enemies. Each Sigil offers a unique ability, visible when you hover over them in the store or during gameplay. Some Sigils enhance specific hands, like boosting the damage of Dyads, while others might give you more turns before the enemy attacks or reduce the damage you take.

This covers the essentials of playing the Demon’s Hand card game in *League of Legends*. If this minigame isn't your cup of tea, keep an eye out for the upcoming April Fools skins to enhance your experience in Summoner’s Rift.

*League of Legends is available now on PC.*
