The Pokémon Company has recently taken steps to address the ongoing issues fans face when trying to acquire the latest Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets. In an official statement, the company announced plans for reprints of high-demand products and emphasized their commitment to improving availability for enthusiasts.
The launch of the new set, Destined Rivals, was marred by significant shortages, pre-order complications, and the persistent problem of scalpers. This set, along with others like Prismatic Evolutions and the Blooming Waters box, have been extremely popular, making them challenging to obtain.

In their statement on the Pokémon website, The Pokémon Company acknowledged the difficulties fans are facing in purchasing certain TCG products due to overwhelming demand. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokémon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," the statement explained. They assured fans that reprints would be available at participating retailers soon.
The company also committed to "maximizing production" for upcoming TCG expansions to ensure better product availability from the start. They plan to "continue to reprint impacted products" to maintain stock levels, including at the Pokémon Center.
In response to scalping, The Pokémon Company indirectly addressed the issue by stating their dedication to a seamless purchasing experience at the Pokémon Center. They employ technology, such as a virtual queue during high-traffic periods, to prioritize fans. "We will continue to explore measures that help create the best possible experience for Pokémon Center customers," they added, expressing gratitude for the community's patience and support as they strive to deliver more Pokémon TCG products to fans.
With these assurances, fans are hopeful that collecting and playing the Pokémon TCG will become less stressful with the arrival of new sets.
