Ace Trainer is a new Farlight Games release, in soft launch for select regions

Farlight Games, fresh off a successful 2024 collaboration with Lilith Games on AFK Journey, has a new mobile title in soft launch: Ace Trainer. This unique blend of tower defense, pinball, and creature collection is currently available in select regions, including South Korea and the US.

Ace Trainer features the collection, training, and leveling of fantastical creatures—think Pokémon, but with a zombie-infested twist. Instead of traditional turn-based battles, players deploy their creatures in tower defense-style gameplay against waves of undead. Pinball mechanics are also incorporated, adding a novel way to gather resources.

The game's eclectic mix of genres raises questions about its long-term viability. While individually popular, the combination of PvP, PvE, tower defense, and pinball elements might prove challenging to balance and maintain player engagement. The current soft launch in multiple regions suggests Farlight has high hopes for Ace Trainer, but its global release remains uncertain.
