Starting today, Dell is offering an incredible deal on the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, now equipped with the cutting-edge GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 shipped. This is a standout price for an RTX 5080 prebuilt system, especially when you consider that other brands have been steadily increasing their prices since the RTX 50 series launch in January. If you're looking elsewhere, you'll find that the only other RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt at Dell is priced over $4,000. For those considering a DIY build, good luck finding a standalone RTX 5080 GPU; you might end up spending as much on just the GPU as you would on this entire system.

This Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F CPU, paired with the GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, part of the Meteor Lake series, offers a max turbo frequency of 5.3GHz, with 20 cores and a 30MB cache. The system is cooled efficiently with a 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler and is supported by a robust 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply.
The RTX 5080 is one of the latest Blackwell graphics cards, which have been in high demand and difficult to find. In our review of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 FE, Jackie noted, "If you already have a high-end graphics card from the last couple of years, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 might not seem worth it – its performance isn't significantly better than the RTX 4080, though the enhanced frame rates from DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation do improve visuals in supported games. However, for gamers with older graphics cards seeking a substantial performance upgrade, the RTX 5080 is a game-changer, especially if you're keen on Nvidia's AI enhancements."

Dell showcased the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The design retains similarities to the 2024 R16 model but includes aesthetic and cooling enhancements, along with updated internal components. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window extends across the entire side panel, removing the need for side vents. Air intakes are positioned at the bottom and front of the case to promote a positive airflow design, which helps keep the system cleaner. The internals have been upgraded with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
The initial release of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards, including the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, sold out within an hour of preorders opening. The RTX 5070 Ti followed in February, facing similar high demand. Prebuilt gaming PCs with these new GPUs are also facing stock shortages, price increases, or extended delivery times.
