If, like me, the stunning animation from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse left you in awe and made you ponder what you've been doing with your life while animators at BUCK consistently deliver masterpieces (think Love, Death + Robots and Secret Level), you'll be thrilled to learn that this award-winning studio is now branching into game development.
BUCK, the studio behind the visually spectacular Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the innovative Let’s! Revolution!, has officially launched BUCK Games. This exciting announcement coincides with the debut of Netflix Games' The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, a game that intertwines with the film's universe.
This isn't BUCK's first venture into gaming, though. They previously launched Let’s! Revolution!, a vibrant roguelite puzzler. With over two decades of experience in animation and design, and a client list that includes giants like Apple, Riot Games, and Microsoft, BUCK is poised to bring the same high-quality standard to their mobile game releases under the BUCK Games banner.
“Developing a game connected to a larger world was a new challenge, and demanded adaptability and ingenuity from our team,” says Michael Highland, Creative Director of BUCK Games. “We set out with an ambitious, unconventional vision, and our partners pushed us to make it the best version possible.”
In the meantime, you can dive into The Electric State: Kid Cosmo on Netflix, or explore other top Netflix games if you're curious.
