Dead Cells Mobile's final free content updates delayed, but with a confirmed release date!
The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile, "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near," have been pushed back. However, developer Playdigious has announced a firm release date of February 18th, 2025, for both updates on Android and iOS.
What's in store? Let's take a look at what players can expect, based on the previously released console and PC versions:
Clean Cut: This update introduces two exciting new weapons: the Sewing Scissors (survival-focused) and the Giant Comb (brutality-focused). A new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, will allow players to customize their character's appearance. Additional features are also included.
The End is Near: Get ready for a challenge! This update adds several formidable new enemies: the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. New skills and colorless mutations, such as Demonic Strength (a 30% damage boost when cursed, increasing by 1% per curse stack), will significantly impact gameplay.
A fitting conclusion to a generous offering
Playdigious has consistently provided substantial free content for Dead Cells. While the end of these free updates was initially met with some disappointment (allowing the studio to focus on future projects), the quality and quantity of added content justifies the decision.
Remember, both "Clean Cut" and "The End is Near" arrive simultaneously on February 18th, 2025. New players jumping into Dead Cells should consult a weapon tier list to prepare for the challenging gameplay.
