This adaptation, spearheaded by Castlevania's Adi Shankar and animated by the acclaimed Studio Mir (Legend of Korra, X-Men '97), was initially revealed in 2018. The first season will comprise eight episodes.
While plot specifics remain shrouded in secrecy, the series seems to center around Dante, drawing inspiration from the events of the first three Devil May Cry games rather than Devil May Cry 5. However, any direct canonical connections to the game franchise are yet to be confirmed. Interestingly, Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice of Nero in the video games, will be lending his talents to the role of Dante.
The most recent entry in the Devil May Cry video game series, Devil May Cry 5 (2019), marked a triumphant return to form after a period of relative dormancy following the 2013 release of DmC: Devil May Cry. Critically acclaimed for its action-packed gameplay, Devil May Cry 5 is a must-play, especially for fans of titles like Ninja Gaiden Black 2.
