The standard edition is the only one available, but it includes the full game, which is all you need. If you're holding out for Amazon, you might have to wait a bit longer; recent Switch games have not been available for preorder there and instead go up at launch.

What is Donkey Kong Country Returns HD?

This HD version of Donkey Kong Country Returns brings back the beloved game that initially launched on the Wii in 2010 and was later re-released on the 3DS in 2013 with eight exclusive levels. The new HD release on the Switch includes every level from the original Wii game, plus those additional 3DS levels.

Known for its challenging gameplay, this title doesn't hold back on difficulty. However, this release offers the option to play in the original challenging mode or an easier mode from the 3DS version, which provides extra hearts and other assistance to help you through the levels.
