Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Company of Heroes, is launching a new turn-based strategy game: Earth vs. Mars. This smaller-scale title, hitting PC via Steam this summer, throws players into a desperate fight for Earth's survival against a Martian invasion. The key to victory? The Splice-O-Tron, a device that creates bizarre and powerful creature-human hybrids like the Squirrel-Cow, Human-Rhino, and Cheetah-Fly. Gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Advance Wars.
For decades, Martians have secretly visited Earth, abducting humans and animals to harvest their atomic essence. Now, their full-scale invasion has begun. Players lead Earth's resistance, commanding military forces against advanced Martian saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors.

Earth vs. Mars features a 30+ mission single-player campaign, online multiplayer (playable as either Earth or Mars), a VS Mode for challenging AI opponents, and a map editor.
"We're thrilled to put a Relic spin on the Advance Wars formula," says Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell. "This project blends our signature style with elements from earlier titles. Relic is adopting a new strategy: alongside our traditional RTS games, we'll be developing smaller, indie-style projects to explore new genres, experiment creatively, and release games more frequently."
