What is the Falcon Mount in FFXIV?

FFXIV, with its Dawntrail expansion, boasts hundreds of mounts. The Falcon mount stands out due to its unique acquisition history. Originally offered during the "Fly the Falcon Mount" campaign celebrating Stormblood's release in Summer 2017 (requiring a 90-day subscription), it became unavailable afterward, frustrating many players.

How to Get the Falcon Mount in FFXIV

Fortunately, the recurring Moogle Treasure Trove event offers a chance to obtain this elusive mount. The current Phantasmagoria event includes the Falcon Ignition Key as a reward. To participate, complete any qualifying in-game duties—even GATEs at the Gold Saucer in Ul'dah count!

The Mogpendium offers bonus challenges, including weekly and the one-time Ultimog challenge, granting additional Tomestones of Phantasmagoria. These tokens are exchanged for rewards from the Initerant Moogle NPC (pictured above) in major cities. The Falcon mount costs 50 Tomestones of Phantasmagoria.
