Alkimia Interactive, the developer behind the highly anticipated Gothic 1 Remake, has provided journalists with early access to a new demo. Originally intended for Gamescom, this demo will soon be available to the public.
This demo offers a sneak peek at the full game, featuring a new protagonist: Niras, a prisoner arriving in the Miners' Valley. Unlike the original Nameless Hero, Niras' interactions with the valley's inhabitants will shape a unique narrative arc.
A previous Gamescom 2024 demo showcased Niras' arrival and introduction to the Colony's harsh realities. This upcoming demo, available to all players, will let everyone experience the revamped Gothic world. Both the demo and the final game are nearly entirely rebuilt, promising extended gameplay, enhanced orc interactions, and increased immersion. Expect a significantly richer experience than the original.
The Gothic 1 Remake demo will debut on Steam during the Steam Next Fest, offering free access from the evening of February 24th to the evening of March 3rd. Following this period, the demo will be removed. The full Gothic 1 Remake is slated for release later this year on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
