After over two years, Grand Theft Auto V on PC is finally getting a major update, bringing it largely in line with the console versions. Mark your calendars: March 4th is the day! This update incorporates features from the native PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions released in 2022. Best of all, it's a free upgrade for all current players, with seamless transfer of progress in both GTA Online and Story Mode – no extra steps required.
The most significant improvements are in GTA Online, where a wealth of previously unavailable content for PC players will be unlocked. The GTA+ subscription service is also coming to PC, offering various benefits such as significantly accelerated business profit collection. Rockstar Games has also bolstered anti-cheat measures for a fairer playing experience.

While the update delivers substantial graphical enhancements, it does come with increased system requirements. Players with hardware unable to handle the updated version can continue playing the older version, which will remain supported. However, it's important to note that there will be no cross-version support, meaning players on different versions will be unable to play together.
