CES 2025 unveiled a groundbreaking gaming innovation: the AI-powered "Co-Playable Character" (CPC). Developed by Krafton in partnership with NVIDIA ACE, this technology will soon be integrated into PUBG and inZOI.

Krafton's announcement on January 8th revealed that CPCs are essentially NPCs infused with generative AI, allowing for dynamic interactions and real-time conversations. In PUBG, this manifests as the "PUBG Ally," a character capable of adapting strategies to enhance gameplay. The impact on inZOI is equally significant, with "Smart Zoi" characters exhibiting emotional depth and unique personalities, promising more realistic simulations.

The collaboration with NVIDIA ACE ensures real-time conversational capabilities and context-adaptive scenarios. “Our partnership with NVIDIA highlights the transformative power of AI in gaming; we're committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible,” stated Kangwook Lee, Head of Krafton's Deep Learning Division.
