Get ready, Marvel Rivals players! A thrilling crossover event is bringing the iconic Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to the game as a brand-new skin.
PlayStation's recent X/Twitter announcement revealed a sneak peek at this stylish suit, reimagined for NetEase Games' hero shooter. This sleek Spider-Man suit, originally designed for Insomniac Games' Marvel’s Spider-Man, has appeared in all three games of the series. Its distinctive white spider symbol sets it apart, making this Marvel Rivals collaboration with Sony and its console-exclusive superhero game a truly surprising addition. The Advanced Suit 2.0 will swing into the in-game store on January 30th, coinciding with the PC release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Marvel Rivals, launched in December, already boasts a wide array of unlockable suits. However, this Spidey suit is exceptionally unique. Beyond its connection to the immensely popular PlayStation series, the Advanced Suit 2.0 will once again feature the voice talents of Yuri Lowenthal. Lowenthal voiced Peter Parker in all three Insomniac Spider-Man games and lends his voice to the Marvel Rivals version as well. So, when you acquire this costume on January 30th, expect a familiar and authentic experience as you web-sling your way to victory.
NetEase's inclusion of the Advanced Suit 2.0 provides another exciting addition to the already impressive content of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, released last week. This season introduced Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four as playable characters, with The Thing and Human Torch arriving shortly. Creative director Guangyun Chen has also promised at least one new hero every month and a half, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content.
While we eagerly await the new Spider-Man suit, be sure to check out some of the custom skins players have created and the balance changes introduced with Season 1. You can also learn how players are using the Invisible Woman's abilities to detect suspected bot players.
