Remember themed popcorn buckets? Of course you do. Well, there's more where those came from. The upcoming Minecraft movie is jumping on the consumer trend with its own concessions novelties available during its theatrical run. According to images shared by DiscussingFilm on X / Twitter, the Minecraft movie will feature a TNT box as its popcorn bucket, complemented by a chicken jockey drink container—a nod to the game's iconic elements. These items appear to be exclusive to Cinemark theaters in the United States, but other theaters may also have special offerings for Minecraft fans. We'll just have to wait and see.

These Minecraft-themed novelties continue a trend that became a national sensation since the 2019 release of Rise of Skywalker's R2-D2 popcorn bucket. The viral success of that snack container over six years ago sparked a wave of excitement among theater executives, leading to a fun yet somewhat overdone and pricey modern tradition. But if it brings people back to the theaters, it's a win in my book.
