How to Unlock the Animal Festival in *Fields of Mistria*

The Animal Festival is an annual event, similar to other seasonal town celebrations in Fields of Mistria. If you miss it one year, don't worry—it returns the following year. The festival begins on the 10th day of Winter, giving you plenty of time to prepare your animals. Make sure your furry and feathered friends are in top condition for their big moment!

How to Win the *Fields of Mistria* Animal Festival

The main event is a contest where you can enter up to two of your farm animals: one small (chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc.) and one large (cows, alpacas, sheep, etc.). Remember, only fully grown adult animals are eligible.

Entering the Contest

Head to the festival grounds in the town center and speak to Josephine at the registration counter. She'll guide you to the two entry booths. One booth (Terithia) is for large animals, and the other (Landen) is for small animals. Choose your contestants wisely!

Josephine offers valuable tips: a higher heart count for your animal significantly boosts your score. Remember to pet, feed, and let your animals outside on sunny days to increase their hearts! Also, rarer coat colors give you a competitive edge.

Animal Festival Prizes

A cutscene reveals the winners for both the small and large animal categories. Winning first place against Hayden's Henrietta (chicken) and Sunshine (cow) earns you top honors! Your prizes depend on your placement. Keep in mind that winning in your first year might be challenging, as maximizing animal hearts and acquiring rare coat colors takes time and farm upgrades. Consistent animal care and farm improvements will significantly increase your chances of victory in future years.
