A Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer has uncovered strong evidence suggesting the addition of Hara-Kiri Fatalities, reimagined as Quitalities. Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing these self-inflicted finishers, originally seen in Mortal Kombat: Deception (2004). Intriguingly, the discovered animations include recently added DLC characters like Ghostface, hinting at a future update rather than scrapped content. InfiniteNightZ believes this is highly likely, given the animations' inclusion in the updated roster.

Furthermore, the animations are referenced in the game's code as "Quitalities," the quick-fire finishers triggered by player quits in past Mortal Kombat titles. This lends further credence to the theory. Following InfiniteNightZ's discovery, prominent dataminer Interloko unearthed additional Hara-Kiri animations, confirming their existence for most characters. Exceptions appear to be Omniman and Conan.

While exciting, it remains unconfirmed. Neither NetherRealm Studios nor Warner Bros. Games have officially announced Quitalities for Mortal Kombat 1.

The game recently saw a surge in popularity with the addition of a secret fight against Floyd, the pink ninja, and the community's collaborative efforts to decipher his unlock requirements. Fans eagerly anticipate the arrival of the T-1000 guest character and the possibility of further DLC, though no official announcements have been made.
