The studio's press release describes "The Odyssey" as a mythic action epic, filmed worldwide using cutting-edge IMAX technology. This will be the first time Homer's classic story is presented in IMAX.

The film chronicles Odysseus's arduous ten-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. While plot specifics remain under wraps, early reports suggest an all-star ensemble cast. Matt Damon, reuniting with Universal after his "Oppenheimer" success, was reportedly the first actor attached to the project. He may be joined by a stellar lineup including Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, and Robert Pattinson.
