Following last week's teaser, Paradox Interactive has officially announced Europa Universalis 5 as their next major grand strategy title. Developed by Paradox Tinto in Barcelona - the studio that's been supporting Europa Universalis 4's development - this ambitious project has been in the works for over five years.
"We've crafted this experience specifically for our dedicated Paradox community," explained the development team. "Through more than a year of public discussions with fans, we've created what we believe is the most comprehensive Europa Universalis experience to date."
The game's expansive campaign begins in 1337 during the Hundred Years' War, introducing several innovative systems including:
