Lychee Games Launches Patch Quest on Android via Crunchyroll

Lychee Game's genre-blending adventure Patch Quest arrives on Android through Crunchyroll Games. Originally launched in PC early access in May 2021 before its full March 2023 release, this innovative title merges roguelike mechanics, bullet hell combat, metroidvania exploration, and monster-taming elements.

Navigate an Ever-Changing Monster-Filled Labyrinth in Patch Quest

The game transports players to Patchlantis, a dynamically generated island where each expedition reshapes the terrain—ensuring unique experiences every playthrough. Your trusty lasso serves as both survival tool and key gameplay mechanic, allowing you to capture and command over 50 distinct monster species (plus numerous subspecies) that alter your mobility and combat capabilities.

Every creature can be tamed and ridden to overcome environmental challenges. Soaring flyers, aquatic swimmers, underground burrowers, and nimble sprinters all offer distinct traversal methods. Specialized monsters like the projectile Buzzerker, underground-escape artist Sandamander, defensive Torrentoise, and flame-wall creating Combusdile provide strategic combat advantages.

Thrilling Bullet-Hell Combat and Progression Systems

The game delivers intense shoot-em-up combat where enemies blanket the screen with projectiles while you counter with mounted creature abilities. Each unsuccessful run contributes to long-term progression—unlocking new routes, upgrading companion creatures, or revealing island secrets.

Players will discover over 200 collectible plants and minerals that can be processed into combat-enhancing ammo smoothies or exchanged for gear upgrades that expand movement options and tactical choices.

Crunchyroll subscribers can download Patch Quest today via the Google Play Store. For more mobile gaming news, check out our coverage of Action RPG Trinity Trigger and its Mana-inspired gameplay on Android.
