Path of Exile 2's bustling trade chat frequently features high demand for White Stellar Amulets, often fetching 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs. Many players are unsure why this particular item commands such a premium. The answer lies in its potential and the methods players use to capitalize on it.

Buyers either need the amulet for a specific build or intend to transform it into something more valuable. Sellers need to understand the item's worth before parting with it. Let's break it down.

Why are White Stellar Amulets So Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

Normal (white) Stellar Amulets, possessing only the inherent "+# to All Attributes" modifier, are key to obtaining the Astramentis Stellar Amulet, one of the game's most prized Unique Amulets. This transformation is achieved using an Orb of Chance.

Astramentis' exceptional power stems from its massive attribute boost (+80-120 to All Attributes). This synergizes incredibly well with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly sought-after Unique item, enhancing attack speed and lightning damage based on Intelligence and Dexterity.

Crucially, only white Stellar Amulets can yield Astramentis. Blue (Magic) or Yellow (Rare) amulets are unsuitable. This scarcity explains the significantly higher value of Normal Stellar Amulets compared to their enhanced counterparts.

Sell or Gamble? The White Stellar Amulet Dilemma

The odds of successfully crafting Astramentis with an Orb of Chance are extremely low. Attempting this with just a few amulets is generally unwise. Even using 100 amulets might not guarantee success. While luck is always a factor, the chances are slim.

The choice to sell or gamble is entirely yours. Selling a White Stellar Amulet will likely net you 10-30 Exalted Orbs, depending on market conditions. Alternatively, you can take a high-risk, high-reward gamble and hope for an Astramentis. It's a decision each player must make individually.

Using the Orb of Chance for Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt the transformation, place the Normal Stellar Amulet in your inventory, right-click the Orb of Chance, and left-click the amulet. The possible outcomes are:

  • Amulet destruction.
  • Upgrade to a unique of the same base type:
    1. Astramentis (the desired outcome)
    2. Fixation of Yix (a less desirable, but more common, unique)

Remember, amulet destruction is a very real possibility if the gamble fails.
