The Primitive weekly challenge in *Phasmophobia* might feel like a throwback to the Stone Age, but unlike our cave-dwelling ancestors, we've got ghosts to deal with. Completing this challenge means ditching all electronics and relying on old-school ghost hunting methods. But can we pull it off? Let's dive into the details and see how we can conquer this primitive task.
The Primitive Challenge is one of Phasmophobia's toughest weekly challenges. You'll need to identify the ghost and complete your investigations at 10 Ridgeview Court without any electronic aids. This means relying heavily on your intuition and understanding of ghost behavior. Remember, you need to complete three successful investigations to fully complete the challenge.
Without electronics, your loadout is severely limited. You won't have access to Flashlights, DOTs Projectors, Video Cameras, or Sanity Medication. However, you start with full Sanity, which is a small mercy. Your equipment includes two Tier 1 Crucifixes to prevent ghost hunts, Tier 2 Firelights, and a full set of Tier 1 Incense for protection.
For evidence gathering, you're equipped with two Tier 3 Ghost Writing books and two Tier 1 UV lights, which double as flashlights. Additionally, you have two Tier 1 thermometers to detect freezing temperatures. To identify the ghost, you'll need to pay close attention to its unique behavioral traits. Our no-evidence cheat sheet can be a useful resource here.
To locate the ghost quickly, take advantage of its increased activity in this challenge. Alternatively, use the provided Ouija Board in the laundry room on the first floor. Ask the ghost its favorite room, but be prepared to lose 50% of your sanity. Always say "Goodbye" to the board to avoid triggering a Cursed Hunt.
To participate in the Primitive Challenge, select either Singleplayer or Multiplayer. Navigate to the Difficulty Settings above your profile ID, and choose the 'Challenge Mode' difficulty. After applying this setting, go to the map board and select 10 Ridgeview Court. Remember, the loadout is pre-set and cannot be changed. Once ready, hit 'Ready Up' and then 'Start' to begin your challenge.
The Weekly Challenge resets on Monday at Midnight UTC. For North American players, this means you can start the new challenge on Sunday evening at the following times:
