Pokémon GO is launching a new Tour Pass on February 24th, adding to the excitement of the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova event. This event focuses on Gen 5 Pokémon, featuring themed wild encounters, raids, and egg spawns.
The annual Pokémon GO Tour celebrates a different region each year, coinciding with Pokémon Day. Previous Tours have included Kanto (2021), introducing nine previously unavailable Shiny Pokémon, and Sinnoh (2024), featuring special Pikachu variants and Dialga/Palkia Origin Forme.
This year's Unova Tour Pass, available from February 24th, 10:00 AM to March 2nd, 6:00 PM local time, offers a free version. Players earn Tour Points through daily tasks, catching Pokémon, raids, and egg hatching, unlocking rewards like Candy and Stickers at various milestones. Reaching the final milestone grants an encounter with a special Zorua. All rewards expire on March 9th, 6:00 PM.
Alongside the free Tour Pass, a deluxe version will be available for $14.99 (or $19.99 with 10 unlocked ranks) on the Pokémon GO Webstore from February 24th, 10:00 AM to March 2nd, 6:00 PM. This includes all free and paid rewards, an encounter with Victini, and a new Lucky Trinket. This item transforms a friend into a Lucky Friend, guaranteeing a Lucky Pokémon on the next trade, then resetting the status. Deluxe Pass rewards and the Lucky Trinket also expire on March 9th, 6:00 PM.
The Unova Tour Pass further enhances the event, which features the debut of Kyurem Black and White via fusion (similar to Necrozma in last year's Tour), and the shiny Meloetta, obtainable through a ticketed Masterwork Research.
