Prince of Persia: Lost Crown to Launch on iOS and Android Next Month

The mobile gaming scene is about to get a royal upgrade with the upcoming release of Prince of Persia: Lost Crown, a 2.5D platformer set to launch on iOS and Android on April 14th. Despite the current tumultuous landscape at Ubisoft, this game stands out with its Metroidvania-style action, promising to captivate players with its unique blend of adventure and combat.

Set within a richly crafted, mythological Persian-inspired world, Prince of Persia: Lost Crown marks the latest reboot in the iconic platformer series. Players will embody the fearless hero Sargon, embarking on a thrilling quest to rescue Prince Ghassan across the mythical Mount Qaf. The game blends the series' signature parkour-style platforming with intense hack 'n slash action, allowing players to string together combos and harness time-altering powers to defeat formidable foes.

To ease any skepticism about its appeal, Prince of Persia: Lost Crown introduces a try-before-you-buy model, enabling players to dive into the experience and decide if they want to unlock the full game. This approach is particularly appealing for those unsure about committing to a purchase.

While some critics noted the 2.5D platforming as somewhat outdated upon its initial release, the transition to mobile devices could breathe new life into this style, appealing to a broad audience eager for a fully fleshed-out experience on their smartphones.
