Get ready for a thrilling year in Hearthstone! 2025 promises a wave of exciting surprises, innovative gameplay mechanics, and fresh features. Expect the usual trio of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons, all launching soon.

The overwhelmingly positive reception to the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has clearly energized Blizzard, fueling their commitment to ongoing excitement throughout the year. A recently released roadmap offers a tantalizing glimpse into the game's immediate future.

What's New in the Year of the Raptor?

A major highlight is the long-awaited Arena revamp. In development since last year, this significant update introduces a new generation of players to the classic Hearthstone mode.

Cosmetics are also receiving a major upgrade. Prepare for new Mythic skins and Signature cards, alongside a brand-new addition: Pets! These adorable companions will be integrated into a fresh cosmetic acquisition system, though specifics remain under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion, Into the Emerald Dream. Card reveals commence next week, but in-game celebrations are already underway. Complete the Event Track to earn rewards including The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a Raptor Herald card.

A dynamic, evolving game board is launching alongside the expansion. This Year of the Raptor board will remain a staple throughout the year, receiving visual and audio enhancements with each subsequent expansion.

Finally, the Core Set is also getting a refresh. Expect the return of some beloved classic cards (with minor adjustments) and the introduction of exciting new additions.
