Respawn and Bit Reactor to Unveil Star Wars: Zero Company This Weekend

Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its latest Star Wars game, Star Wars: Zero Company, and introduced the team behind its development. The project is being crafted by the newly-formed studio, Bit Reactor, with assistance from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

Details about Star Wars: Zero Company are still scarce, but we know it will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more insights, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game for April 19 at Star Wars Celebration in Japan.

Bit Reactor, established in 2022, is a strategy game studio composed of industry veterans from acclaimed titles like XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. While we've been aware of their collaboration with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this marks the first time we're getting substantial details about what they've been working on.

The extent of Respawn's involvement remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced significant challenges recently, including the cancellation of their own Star Wars FPS last year, coupled with widespread layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.
