Pokémon GO enthusiasts are in for a treat with the weekly Spotlight Hour events that occur every Tuesday. This guide zeroes in on the Roselia Spotlight Hour, offering players a chance to encounter and catch this Grass and Poison-type Pokémon, which is the star of the event on January 14th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. To make the most of this event, players should stock up on berries, Pokéballs, and incense. This particular Spotlight Hour also features a x2 Catch XP bonus, providing a great opportunity to level up quickly.

Roselia Spotlight Hour Guide

Roselia, known as Pokémon #0315 from the Hoenn region in Generation 3, boasts a maximum Combat Power of 2114 CP, with 186 Attack and 131 Defense. This Pokémon evolves from Budew to Roselia with 25 Candies, and further evolves into Roserade with 100 Candies and a Sinnoh Stone. Players can earn three candies and 100 Stardust for each Roselia caught during the event.

Roselia's versatility extends to trading within Pokémon GO and transferring to Pokémon Home. As a Grass and Poison-type, it is vulnerable to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type attacks, taking 160% more damage from these. Conversely, it resists Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Water-type moves, taking only 63% of the usual damage, with Grass-type attacks causing the least harm at 39%. For optimal performance, equip Roselia with Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb, which deliver a DPS of 10.96 and TDO of 99.91, especially effective in Cloudy Weather.

The allure of the Spotlight Hour is further heightened by the chance to encounter a Shiny Roselia. To boost your odds of catching this rare variant, utilize incense and berries. The Shiny Roselia stands out with its vibrant green body and striking purple and black roses.

During the Spotlight Hour, players can also maximize their rewards by transferring duplicate Roselias to earn extra candies, speeding up the evolution process to Roserade. This event not only offers a fun and engaging way to engage with Pokémon GO but also provides substantial benefits for your Pokémon collection and gameplay experience.
