Street Fighter 6 meta - which characters are most popular on top level

Capcom Pro Tour is taking a breather, as the full roster of 48 Capcom Cup 11 participants has been finalized. Instead of focusing on the players themselves, let's examine the character choices dominating the professional scene.

Following the conclusion of the World Warrior circuit, EventHubs compiled statistics on the most popular Street Fighter 6 characters at the highest competitive level. This data offers a valuable insight into the game's current balance. Remarkably, all 24 fighters saw representation, although from a pool of nearly two hundred players (across eight regional finalists from 24 regions), only one player chose Ryu. Even Terry Bogard, the newest addition to the roster, was selected by only two players.

Currently, Cammy, Ken, and M. Bison reign supreme, each chosen as the main character by 17 players. A significant gap follows, with Akuma in the next tier (12 players), followed by Ed and Luke (both 11), and JP and Chun-Li (both 10). Among the less frequently selected characters, Zangief, Guile, and Juri stand out, each serving as the main character for seven players.

Capcom Cup 11 will be held this March in Tokyo, with a million-dollar prize awaiting the champion.
