Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive in Call of Duty

Activision has unveiled a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these heroes have graced an Activision shooter.

While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date (announced as "soon") remain scarce, the CODWarfareForum website has offered some unverified details.

Rumored additions include operator skins for all four Turtles (though the absence of April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder is disappointing). New melee weapons are also anticipated: a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and a staff. The crossover's main events are expected to unfold on the Grind map, a skatepark-themed location.

Despite the announcement, fan reaction has been muted. This isn't due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather stems from the current troubled state of Black Ops Cold War. The game's prevalence of bugs and cheaters has significantly diminished its player base, making this collaboration feel ill-timed and raising concerns about its ultimate impact and duration.
