Feral Interactive and The Creative Assembly are preparing to release a major expansion for Total War: Total War: EMPIRE – A New World. Notably, this is an exclusive mobile expansion set to launch on September 18th.
The update introduces new campaigns, balance adjustments, expanded rosters, and a range of naval units. The standout feature is the addition of 44 playable factions, raising the total count to 55.
Players can now control every non-rebel nation in the Grand Campaign from the start, including the United States, the Mughal Empire, Gran Colombia, and the Barbary States.
Each faction features expanded unit rosters with tweaks designed to make smaller nations more competitive during the late game. Naval combat is also enhanced by 14 new vessels, ranging from nimble dhows and light galleys to the massive 140-gun Santísima Trinidad, a dominant force of the late 18th century.

Two new campaigns accompany the Total War: EMPIRE – A New World expansion -------------------------------------------------------------------------The Late Start Campaign shifts the Grand Campaign map to 1783, placing players squarely in the Age of Revolution. During this period, colonial powers like Britain and France struggle to maintain their overseas territories.
The Warpath Campaign, originally a PC DLC, arrives on mobile for the first time. It enables five Native American factions—Iroquois, Cherokee, Plains Nations, Pueblo Nations, and Huron—to engage in conflict within a single-theatre setting. These groups are also fully playable in the Grand Campaign for the first time ever.
Total War: EMPIRE – A New World is launching exclusively on mobile, breaking the series' tradition of PC-first releases. The base game is available on the Google Play Store, with A New World priced at $6.99 as an in-app purchase.
