Tribe Nine Ends EOS Support Shortly After Global Launch

Akatsuki Games has made the surprising announcement of the end-of-service (EOS) for their latest game, Tribe Nine. Launched just a few months ago in February across Android, iOS, and PC (Steam), the decision to shut down the game has left many players in disbelief. What led to this early demise? Let's delve deeper into the details.

When Is the Tribe Nine EOS?

Tribe Nine is set to officially close its doors on November 27th, 2025. Alongside this disheartening news, Akatsuki Games has confirmed that Chapter 4 of the main story will not be released. This comes as a major disappointment, especially since the game had recently started teasing the next developments in its narrative.

As of May 15th, all plans for new updates, features, bug fixes, and content releases have been canceled. This means that any previously announced adjustments or new features mentioned in in-game notices are now off the table.

Additionally, two anticipated characters, Ichinosuke Akiba and Saizo Akiba, who were slated to join the game's roster, will no longer be added.

Refunds are being issued for Paid Enigma Entities used on items such as Armed Support, Advanced Support, and the Support Contract – Revenio. These refunds will be processed after the Revenio contract concludes.

Furthermore, players can no longer purchase Enigma Entities or Daily Passes through the app or the web store. However, you can continue using any Enigma Entities you already own until Tribe Nine's official shutdown.

Why Did It Fail So Soon?

Tribe Nine is a free-to-play extreme action RPG known for its distinctive style and immersive worldbuilding. Despite its quality, the game faced challenges right from the start.

The release schedule was notably slow, with only one story chapter and one event released in the first three months. Moreover, there was little incentive for players to spend money. Players could build a strong team with just one pull, and duplicate characters were not necessary for progression, which was beneficial for players but detrimental to the developers' revenue.

It appears that adopting a gacha model was a risky move for Tribe Nine, and unfortunately, it did not yield the desired results. Nevertheless, the game remains playable until November 27th. If you haven't tried it yet, you can check it out on the Google Play Store.
