We're not Sketchbook, Photoshop, Procreate, or Infinite Painter. We are ArtClash.

**ArtClash is designed to inspire daily drawing, sketching, and cartooning practice.**

The first game is complete, but more are coming soon. You can freehand draw, select a topic or series of topics, apply optional constraints (like time limits, color palettes, or canvas size), create your artwork, and earn points when others correctly guess your drawing!

**This is a solo project, created to encourage daily practice for my wife and me, and to extend that encouragement to others.**

**Current Features:**

• Paint, sketch, and blend tools.
• Import images for reference or painting over.
• Participate in topic-based challenges with constraints for bonus points.
• Six difficulty levels for topics, ranging from single words to five-word phrases (nouns, verbs, places, time periods).
• Choose from three constraints for extra points: time, color palette, or canvas size.
• Free draw and share creations.
• NSFW flag for content filtering.

**Current Early Access Issues/Bugs:**

• Unpolished UI: The Unity UI is currently being overhauled for a more responsive XAML-based solution.
• Performance on lower-end devices: Keep canvases under 1024x1024 to avoid performance issues. The brush engine is GPU-accelerated, but large canvases with small brushes can cause significant slowdown. We are exploring engine alternatives for future optimization.

**Upcoming Features:**

• More games (starting with a "telephone" drawing game).
• Enhanced social features (customizable avatars, comments, friend lists, following).
• Improved UI and faster brush engine (addressing issues listed above).
• Marquee selection and transform tools.
• More brushes (currently supports custom brush textures, more to be added, and user-submitted brushes).
• Advanced layer system (layer locking, masking, etc.).
• Developer communication system (feature requests, bug reports, voting).
• Moderation system (community moderation of flagged content).
• Community topic and constraint submissions.
• Future plans include full image editing, animation, scripting, and game/storyboard prototyping.

Due to current performance limitations with large textures and the lack of full editing capabilities, ArtClash is not intended as a complete image editing suite. It's optimized for social competition and artistic encouragement.
