Ford Focus 2 and C-Max I Module Diagnostics and Configuration

This guide explains how to diagnose and configure various modules in Ford Focus 2 and C-Max I vehicles using an ELM327 or ELS27 adapter. These adapters allow access to CAN-bus connected modules.

Supported Modules:

• Engine Control Module (ECM): Retrieve module information, read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), reboot the module, and reset the long-term fuel trim (KAM). Supported ECUs include ESU-411/418 (1.8 125/2.0 145), SIM28/29 (1.4 80/1.6 100/115), and ESU-121/131 (1.8 120/2.0 145).

• Instrument Cluster (Dashboard): Access module information, read and clear DTCs, configure the module, reboot it, and (in the full version) adjust or correct the odometer reading.

• Brake Control Module (BCM): Retrieve module information, read and clear DTCs, configure the module, reboot it, and (in the full version) perform tasks like DDS calibration reset and brake pump activation.

• Body Control Module (BCM): Access module information, read and clear DTCs, and configure the module (full version). Reboot functionality is also available.

• Safety Restraint Control Module (RCM): Retrieve module information, read and clear DTCs, configure the module, reboot it, and (in the full version) clear crash data.

• Transmission Control Module (TCM): Access module information, read and clear DTCs, and reset the KAM (full version).

• Climate Control Module (CCM): Retrieve module information, read and clear DTCs.

• Audio Control Module: Access module information, read and clear DTCs, and (in the full version) retrieve the radio code (for M-series radios).

Note: Some features are only available in the full version of the software.

Adapter Configuration:

ELS27 adapters can be purchased at: https://els27.ru/. For ELS27USB, set the baud rate to 38400; for ELS27BT, use the ELS27 Baudrate utility to set it to 2,000,000.
