IPTV, or Internet Protocol Television, is a service that lets you stream TV content over the internet, whether it's from your Internet service provider or free live TV channels available online. With the right app on your Android device, you can enjoy a personalized viewing experience by creating your own playlist of channels. The app is free to use and, best of all, it's ad-free, ensuring uninterrupted viewing pleasure.
With this app, you can watch IPTV from your Internet service provider or explore free live TV channels from various online sources. Here's what you can expect from the app:
Features:
✔ Support for M3U and XSPF playlists, making it easy to manage your channel lineup.
✔ Access to your playlists history, so you never lose track of your favorites.
✔ Ability to play multicast streams using a UDP proxy, which you'll need to install on your local network.
✔ Choose how you view your channels with options for grid, list, or tile views.
✔ EPG (Electronic Program Guide) support in XMLTV and JTV formats, keeping you informed about what's on.
✔ Flexibility with both internal and external video players to suit your preferences.
✔ Parental control features to ensure safe viewing for all family members.
Additional features are available in the Pro version:
✔ Enjoy an ad-free experience for uninterrupted viewing.
✔ Option to start the app automatically when your device boots up, perfect for set-top boxes.
✔ Auto-play the last channel you were watching for seamless viewing sessions.
✔ Extended playlists history to keep track of even more of your favorite channels.
For multicast streams, it's recommended to use a UDP proxy:
* For Windows users, download and install the UDP-to-HTTP proxy from http://borpas.info/download/UdpProxy.exe or opt for the corresponding feature during the installation of IP-TV Player at http://borpas.info/iptvplayer.
* Linux users can install udpxy, available at http://udpxy.com/index-en.html and http://sourceforge.net/projects/udpxy/.
* The optimal setup involves installing udpxy on your WLAN router, which is possible with DD-WRT (http://www.dd-wrt.com) and OpenWrt (https://openwrt.org) firmware.
* Some WLAN routers come with built-in udpxy in the manufacturer's firmware, simplifying the setup process.
