Periscope: Twitter’s official live streaming app
Periscope is the official live streaming app from Twitter that allows you to live stream using just your Twitter account and an Android device. The app functions almost identically to Meerkat, the first app that allows you to record and broadcast live streams on Twitter.
In addition to broadcasting capabilities, Periscope also allows you to quickly access what others are live streaming. You can view the most popular live broadcasts and quickly join them. You can also write comments or send a heart to express your love when joining the broadcast.
Broadcasting with Periscope is as easy as pressing a button. Once you press the record button, you start broadcasting, and you can switch between the front and rear cameras with just a tap of the screen. If someone takes a screenshot of what you're broadcasting, you'll see a small flash alerting you that someone took the screenshot.
In the app settings, you can choose when to receive notifications: for example, when one of your followers starts broadcasting, or when someone starts following you again.
Periscope is a powerful and lightweight live streaming application officially launched by Twitter. With it, you can broadcast online simply using your Twitter account. Additionally, its interface is elegant, intuitive, and beautiful.
