This portable media player doubles as a UPnP DLNA DMR, supporting a wide range of subtitle formats and advanced playback features.
The player utilizes the Storage Access Framework (SAF) for user-controlled file access, ensuring privacy and flexibility. It boasts full SSA/ASS subtitle support, allowing users to add custom fonts and adjust dimming for optimal viewing with HDR and DV content. Subtitle resizing is also available. Support for SUP (Blu-ray) and VobSub (DVD) subtitles has been added (version 5.1 and later). Subtitles can be embedded in MKV files or loaded separately, with support for Zip/7Z/RAR archives.
Advanced features include HDR/DV playback, digital audio passthrough, MKV chapter navigation, frame-by-frame control, audio track selection and delay, subtitle selection and timing adjustments, frame rate display, and automatic refresh rate adjustment. Pinch-to-zoom and video rotation are also included. Dolby Vision playback has been successfully tested on the Nvidia Shield TV 2019.
Originally designed for segmented file playback using m3u8 (HLS) playlists (initially TS only, now supporting mp4 and flv), this player offers comprehensive media handling capabilities.
Important Note: On some Android systems, this app must run in the foreground before initiating DLNA projection.
