A Card Game for Two Players

This app offers three engaging card games: Four Cards Golf, Six Cards Golf, and Scat. You can choose your preferred game from the Settings menu.

Four Cards Golf Rules

Overview: Four Cards Golf is a strategic card game designed for two players. The objective, akin to real golf, is to accumulate the least number of points possible.

Game Structure:

• Each game comprises nine rounds.
• At the start of each round, players are dealt 4 cards face down. The remaining cards form a draw pile, with one card placed face up to start the discard pile.

Gameplay:

• Before the game begins, players may peek at the two cards closest to them in their layout, but this must be kept secret. These cards cannot be viewed again until they are discarded or scored.
• On their turn, players can draw from the draw pile and use the card to replace any of their four cards without looking at the replaced card. The replaced card is then moved to the discard pile.
• Alternatively, players can draw from the discard pile, which requires them to replace a card in their layout and then discard the drawn card.
• Players can also choose to "knock," ending their turn and signaling the end of the round after other players complete their turns.

Scoring:

• Pairs of cards (same value) in a column or row score 0 points.
• Jokers are worth -2 points.
• Kings score 0 points.
• Queens and Jacks are valued at 10 points.
• Other cards are scored by their rank.
• Four cards of the same value score -6 points.

Six Cards Golf Rules

Overview: Six Cards Golf is another two-player game where the goal is to minimize points, similar to real golf.

Game Structure:

• Each game consists of nine rounds.
• Players start each round with 6 cards dealt face down, with the rest forming a draw pile and one card initiating the discard pile face up.

Gameplay:

• Initially, players turn two of their cards face up.
• Players aim to reduce the value of their cards by swapping them for lower-value cards or pairing them in columns with cards of equal rank.
• On their turn, players draw a card from either the draw or discard pile. They can swap this card with one of their own or discard it. If swapped with a face-down card, the new card remains face up.
• The round ends when all of a player's cards are face up.

Scoring:

• Pairs of cards in a column score 0 points.
• Jokers are worth -2 points.
• Kings score 0 points.
• Queens and Jacks are valued at 20 points.
• Other cards are scored by their rank.

Game Mechanics:

• To swap a card with one from the discard pile, simply tap on the card you wish to replace. To draw from the deck, tap the draw pile to reveal the card, then either discard it or swap it with one of your cards.

Multiplayer Options:

• You can play against an AI bot or challenge friends on the same device.

Cultural Touch:

• The back of the cards features an ornament inspired by the traditional Ukrainian towel (rooshnik). We stand for peace with the message: NO WAR IN UKRAINE!
