Board Game for Two Players

Introduction

Mancala games are a family of two-player turn-based strategy board games played with small stones, beans, or seeds. The objective is typically to capture all or a specific number of the opponent's pieces.

Gameplay

Kalah Rules:

• Four (or five to six) seeds are initially placed in each house.
• Players take turns sowing seeds counterclockwise, dropping one in each house.
• If the last sown seed lands in an empty house on the player's side and the opposite house contains seeds, both seeds are captured.
• If the last sown seed lands in the player's store, they receive another turn.
• The game ends when one player has no seeds remaining. The other player collects all remaining seeds.

Oware Rules:

• Four (or five to six) seeds are initially placed in each house.
• Players take turns sowing seeds counterclockwise, leaving the starting house empty.
• If the last sown seed brings the count of an opponent's house to two or three, the seeds in that house and possibly more are captured.
• The game ends when one player captures more than half the seeds or each player has captured half the seeds (draw).
