Japanese Mahjong Game
This Japanese-style Mahjong game uses a slider at the bottom of the screen to select and discard tiles. Tapping the slider discards the selected tile. The objective is to complete four melds and one pair to win.
Example hand: [1, 2, 3][6, 6, 6][6, 7, 8][N, N, N][4, 4]
Note that certain hands are invalid if a Chi, Pon, or Open Kan is declared. Be mindful of restrictions on using 1 and 9 tiles in Chi and Pon combinations. Japanese Mahjong rules require at least one hand.
A hand can be declared a Reach by paying 1000 points, though this is not possible after declaring a Chi, Pon, or Open Kan. Closed hands yield higher point values.
A "Lost Hand" occurs when a player is waiting for a winning tile, but cannot win because they previously discarded that winning tile. Even with a Lost Hand, a self-draw win is still possible. Critically, a Lost Hand can never be won by a Ron (winning off another player's discard). You cannot win a Ron with the tile you just discarded. Therefore, winning requires strategic reasoning based on other players' discards.
