READY! for Kindergarten is the premier school readiness program offered by The Children's Reading Foundation, specifically tailored for children aged 2 to 5, as well as older children who may need to catch up on core skills. Our innovative READY! for Kindergarten app is designed to prepare your child for future learning and school success through engaging, interactive gameplay. Each game within the app is crafted to enhance a particular core skill and is intended for repeated play, as young children thrive with numerous repetitions in a nurturing environment.

To gain deeper insights into the skills each game targets, simply tap the "i" icon located in the lower right corner of each game's icon. As your child progresses through the games, the app compiles detailed reports, providing you with valuable information about their skill development. These reports benchmark your child's achievements against those of their peers across the U.S., enabling you to identify and focus on areas where additional support might be beneficial.

For children aged 2 to 5, our app's engaging games help them master essential skills such as singing the ABC song, matching letter shapes, pronouncing letter sounds, expanding their vocabulary, counting to 30, and recognizing emotions. These activities are foundational for school readiness.

The READY! program is built on 26 Age-Level Targets, which are measurable skills that a typical 5-year-old should possess by the start of kindergarten. These targets, developed over seven years by early learning experts in collaboration with families, scientists, and educators, are research-based and crucial for early childhood development.
