Squares: Master the Daily Word Strand Puzzle!

Squares is a daily word puzzle game challenging players to form words within a grid to complete squares and maximize their score. This guide will help you conquer the game.

Gameplay:

Connect letters in any direction (up, down, left, right, or diagonally) to create words. Your objective is to uncover all words hidden within the letter grid and accumulate the highest possible score.

Rules:

• Scoring: Each letter in a valid word earns one point (e.g., a five-letter word scores five points).
• Word Length: Words must contain at least four letters.
• Letter Usage: Each tile can only be used once per word.
• Invalid Words: Hyphenated words, proper nouns, offensive language, and obscure terms are excluded.

Bonus Challenges:

• Bonus Words: The puzzle includes bonus words—often uncommon, archaic, or slang terms. These don't add to your score but appear in a separate list. You can continue searching for them even after finding all main words.
• Word of the Day: Each puzzle features a special, often longer bonus word. Discovering it rewards you with two extra hints!

Game Features:

• Daily Puzzle: A new Squares puzzle is available daily at midnight.
• Grid Rotation: Rotate the grid left or right using the bottom-right corner buttons for a fresh perspective.
• Hints: After finding 40% of the words, you'll receive a hint: a number on each letter indicating how many words begin with that letter (0 means no words start with that letter). Letters turning orange are no longer used in main words but might be in bonus words. Each puzzle starts with 3-5 hints (lightbulb icon), revealing a random word's first letter and search direction. Sharing the game link earns one extra hint!
