Mastering ZhiZhu! - The Spider™ can take a lifetime, but you'll be able to learn the basics in just a minute.

Description:

ZhiZhu! - The Spider™ is a new, modern, and more challenging version of the ancient and classic game known as "Nine Men Morris".

Game Content:

• 1 Spiderweb board
• 9 white Spiders
• 9 black Spiders

START:

• Player A begins with 9 White Spiders.
• Player B starts with 9 Black Spiders.
• The board is initially empty.

GOAL:

The objective of ZhiZhu! - The Spider™ is to capture your opponent's Spiders that have been placed on the board.

How to Capture Spiders from Your Opponent?

Capture your opponent's Spiders by forming aligned chains:

• SMALL CHAIN: Align 3 Spiders on any of the 8 straight lines.
• BIG CHAIN: Align 5 Spiders on any of the 3 circles.

PLAYING THE GAME:

The game is divided into two phases:

PHASE 1 – Placement:

• Players take turns placing their 9 Spiders, one at a time, on any of the 24 vacant locations on the Spiderweb.
• Chains (Small or Big) can be formed during this phase, leading to the capture of 1 or 2 Spiders accordingly.

PHASE 2 – SLIDING Movement:

• After all Spiders are placed, players take turns sliding one Spider to an adjacent empty location on the Spiderweb (left, right, up, or down).

Capturing Pieces:

• Forming a Small Chain (3 aligned Spiders) allows you to capture and remove one Spider from your opponent's Spiders on the Spiderweb.
• Forming a Big Chain (5 aligned Spiders) enables you to capture and remove two Spiders from your opponent's Spiders on the Spiderweb.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

• You cannot capture Spiders that are already part of a Small or Big Chain unless there are no loose Spiders left to capture.
• You cannot capture Spiders by remaking a chain with the same Spiders in the same locations.
• A new chain is only valid if it includes at least one newly slid Spider.

WINNING:

• The player who captures 7 Spiders from their opponent wins the game.
• A player can also win if the opponent concedes, believing there is no way to recover and win.
