Valve has returned from their New Year holidays, and game developers are now rolling out new patches across various titles. While we anticipated a comprehensive update for Deadlock following the shift from its bi-weekly cycle, Valve opted for a lighter start to the year. The recent patch focused solely on one hero, Yamato, who received a slight nerf with reduced damage scaling and a decreased attack speed bonus at the first level of Shadow Transformation. Additionally, abilities like Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot were weakened, and Alchemical Fire saw a minor rework.

Given the modest scope of this update, it seems likely that we'll need to wait for a more substantial patch. However, predicting when that might happen remains challenging at this stage.
It's important to mention that Deadlock has experienced a notable decline in its player base recently. This could be attributed to the current popularity of Marvel Rivals among gamers. Despite being in deep beta, maintaining an online player count between 7,000 and 19,000 is still a respectable achievement. Keep in mind, Valve has not yet disclosed any potential release dates or details about the game's monetization model.
