"The Medium" Horror Game to Get Film Adaptation by "It" Producer Gary Dauberman||||

Gary Dauberman, writer-producer behind horror hits like "It" and "Annabelle," has acquired film rights to Bloober Team's psychological horror game "The Medium," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The project currently awaits confirmation of its writer and director.
"With its compelling story and incredibly cinematic visuals, The Medium is perfect for a feature film adaptation," Dauberman stated. "When discussing the project with Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno, we instantly clicked over our shared passion for horror and his progressive vision for the genre."
The 2021 game marked a turning point for Bloober Team, leading to high-profile projects including the Silent Hill 2 remake and upcoming Cronos: The New Dawn. "After The Medium, we knew we needed to evolve beyond our experimental adventure game roots," explained Cronos director Jacek Zieba in previous comments to IGN.
IGN awarded the original game an 8/10, praising its "brilliant pacing and palpable tension" in their review of this "psychological horror adventure that's all thriller and no filler."
The announcement joins a growing slate of video game adaptations including recently revealed projects like a Friday the 13th prequel game and Phasmophobia movie. For those tracking this expanding field, we've compiled a complete list of video game movies slated for 2025 and beyond.
