Treyarch is gearing up to celebrate 115 Day with a treasure trove of announcements for *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies*, headlined by the unveiling of a thrilling new map named The Tomb. This January 15 celebration is a special holiday for *Call of Duty* enthusiasts, complete with a detailed blog breakdown of all the zombie-themed surprises in store for the near future. The Tomb, a sandy new Zombies map, is set to debut with the launch of Season 2 on January 28, marking another exciting addition to the Zombies universe shortly after Season 1's Citadelle des Morts.

The team hints that The Tomb is shrouded in mystery with connections to a British archaeologist named Sir Archibald Fotherington-Smythe, though specifics on its integration into the broader Zombies storyline remain sparse. In terms of gameplay, this new location promises an experience akin to Liberty Falls, the vibrant, small-town map that debuted with Black Ops 6 in October. Treyarch suggests that The Tomb will offer “tighter play spaces with a focus on replayability,” inviting players to uncover the numerous Easter eggs hidden within.
Treyarch also teases a reimagined Wonder Weapon “inspired by our past” alongside the return of an iconic SMG, though details are yet to be fully revealed.
Season 2 will also bring a robust set of quality-of-life enhancements, including long-requested features from the community. Players will now be able to track up to 10 Calling Card challenges and 10 Camo challenges in both Zombies and Multiplayer modes. Zombies will see the introduction of a co-op pause option, allowing the party leader to pause a match mid-run. Additionally, HUD presets will be separated for Zombies and Multiplayer, and players will be able to rejoin Zombies matches with their loadout if disconnected.
### Black Ops 6 Tier List: Best Guns RankedIn celebration of 115 Day, Black Ops 6 players can enjoy double the GobbleGum earn rate and double player, weapon, and battle pass XP from now until 10am PT on January 21. Treyarch also shared some impressive stats regarding the story-driven Directed Mode, noting that players have logged over 480 million hours into Black Ops 6 Zombies.
“Our goal from the start for Directed Mode was simple: grow the Zombies community by guiding new players through the Main Quests with some guardrails in place, so they can experience the storyline and hopefully become lifelong Zombies fans,” the team shared. “The numbers are promising! Since Directed Mode went live, our average Main Quest completion rate has more than doubled, going from 3.38% on November 14 to 8.23% today.”
As anticipation builds for The Tomb, fans are eager to hear the voices of the Zombies characters, especially following Activision’s recent announcement of recasting some beloved characters due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
