"Cluedo Mobile Unveils 2016 Cast and Retro 1949 Ruleset"

With its rich history and countless versions, few classic board games can rival the storied legacy of Cluedo (or Clue, if you prefer), perhaps only outdone by the iconic Monopoly. Now, fans of this timeless mystery game can relive the nostalgia with Marmalade Game Studios' popular mobile adaptation.

Marmalade is set to launch an exciting new character pack featuring the 2016 versions of the beloved cast, including Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Reverend Green, Professor Plum, Dr Orchid, and Mrs Peacock. This pack will be available as a paid addition to the game. But that's not all! Players can also opt to play using the original 1949 ruleset, bringing a touch of retro charm to their gameplay experience.

What can you expect from the classic 1949 rules? This nostalgic mode reverts several changes introduced in the 2023 digital edition. Tokens will start at predetermined squares, the turn order will follow a set sequence, and players will be limited to making only one suggestion per room entry. These rules bring back the traditional gameplay that many fans fondly remember.

The digital edition of Cluedo has been crafted with care, drawing inspiration from the popular social deduction genre. Marmalade Game Studios has shown dedication to enhancing the game continuously, adding new levels and features to keep the experience fresh and engaging.

Now might be the perfect time to dive back into Cluedo and see if you can crack the mystery once and for all.
