Rebel Wolves, a studio formed by ex-CD Projekt RED developers, recently unveiled their debut title, The Blood of Dawnwalker, in a captivating livestream. The stream featured a four-minute cinematic trailer, serving as the game's opening cinematic and setting the stage for a dark fantasy action RPG experience.

Set in a 14th-century alternate Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows Coen, a young man thrust into a supernatural struggle after the events depicted in the trailer. He must rescue his loved ones from vampires within a perilous 30-day deadline. While time only progresses during specific gameplay moments, careful management will be crucial to his success.

Coen faces a profound moral dilemma: embrace his newfound vampiric powers or cling to his humanity. This choice will significantly impact both gameplay and the narrative, shaping his journey. A core mechanic, "Blood Hunger," adds a layer of strategic tension. Prolonged abstinence from blood risks a loss of control, potentially leading to tragic consequences and altering the story's course.

Players will explore richly detailed environments, with dynamic elements influenced by the time of day. The developers describe the open world as a "narrative sandbox," offering extensive freedom and opportunities for player agency.

Developed over two years using Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. While a release date remains unannounced, the potential is clearly evident.
