The PlayStation 5 Pro launched in November 2024. It's a more powerful version of the standard PS5. Typically, you had to choose between "Quality mode" with native 4K graphics capped at 30fps, or "Performance mode" with upscaled 1440p (or lower) visuals reaching up to 60fps. But with the PS5 Pro's enhanced hardware, many games now support both native 4K resolution and up to 60fps. The console retails for $699.99, which is $200 more than the standard PS5, and a disc drive is not included. An add-on disc drive is available separately for $79.99.
