Assassin’s Creed Shadows is an expansive RPG that offers a wealth of activities. Even after completing the main quest, there's still much to explore. Here’s what you can expect once you finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
After completing the main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you'll still have access to the entire open world of Feudal Japan. This means you can continue exploring and engaging with a variety of side content that remains unlocked. Whether it's completing remaining quests or discovering hidden treasures, there's plenty to keep you busy.
Additionally, post-launch, Ubisoft will introduce new weekly challenges through the Animus, ensuring that even after achieving 100% completion, there's more to do in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
After the credits roll, your journey might not be over. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet received the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. Following this, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to unlock the complete ending and earn the associated achievements.
Towards the end of the game, you can also unlock exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist’s play style and are a nod to nostalgic Assassin’s Creed fans.
Even after the credits, you can continue to level up your character until you reach the game’s maximum level cap.
While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, there's much more on the horizon. Ubisoft plans to add new content through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely see updates with fresh items. Additionally, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release in 2025, taking players to the Island of Awaji for over 10 hours of new adventures.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
