For Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PS5, Square Enix has alluded to visual enhancements

The PC version of the game boasts superior visuals and stability compared to its PS5 counterpart, sparking community discussions about a much-needed PS5 update. The PS5 version currently suffers from blurry visuals in performance mode, leaving base console owners with little choice but to await patches. Game director Naoki Hamaguchi acknowledges the possibility of improvements, stating, "Following the PC version's promotional release, we've received numerous requests for a similar PS5 update. We aim to deliver this at some point, while working within the PS5's technical constraints."

Fans eagerly anticipate Square Enix addressing these requests and enhancing the console visuals. While the team is actively developing the sequel, Hamaguchi requests patience, promising further details at a later date. He highlights 2024 as a successful year for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the trilogy, citing global recognition and multiple awards. The third installment faces unique challenges as the developers strive to expand the game's fanbase. Interestingly, Hamaguchi also notes his interest in Grand Theft Auto VI, expressing support for the Rockstar Games team and acknowledging the immense pressure they face following the phenomenal success of GTA V.
